Effective

Controller and scope

Global Digital Identity Ltd, company number 16339013, registered in England and Wales, is the controller of personal data submitted through this institutional website and its acquisition enquiry process.

Data we collect

We use your name, email address, organisation, current activity or planned business, role, country and message to assess and respond to your enquiry. Identification fields and the declaration of business or professional purpose are required for acquisition enquiries; organisation, role and country are optional for general enquiries. For offers and payment proposals, we also process the amounts, currency, conditions and payment schedule you submit. Do not include sensitive personal information.

Purposes and lawful bases

If you are an individual asking about acquisition for your own business or profession, we use the contact details and proposal information needed to take the pre-contractual steps you request (UK GDPR, Article 6(1)(b)).

For enquiries made on behalf of an organisation and for general enquiries, we rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): responding to your requested contact, assessing proposals and conducting the private sale negotiation. We use your contact details, professional context and relevant correspondence for these purposes.

We also rely on legitimate interests to record the declared professional purpose and retain relevant negotiation correspondence: documenting the context of the enquiry, managing reasonable follow-up and protecting legal rights where necessary. The retention limits below apply; they do not justify keeping unnecessary information.

To handle privacy requests and complaints, we use your contact details, the request and any information necessary to verify and answer it. The basis is compliance with applicable data protection obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).

Personal data may be handled by authorised personnel and service providers supporting website hosting, email delivery and receipt, and technical support, for those purposes.

Required information

Required fields are necessary to assess and respond to the enquiry and confirm professional authority. Without them, we cannot submit or review the enquiry. An indicative proposal is required only when that enquiry type is selected.

Recipients

Access is limited to authorised personnel, professional advisers and service providers supporting secure hosting, relay delivery, email, legal review or transaction due diligence. Personal data is not sold or used for unrelated advertising.

International transfers

We may use service providers to support certain operations. Where processing involves an international transfer subject to applicable data protection rules, we will adopt the legal mechanism and safeguards appropriate to that transfer. Information about applicable transfers and safeguards can be requested at contact@com.store.

Retention

Personal data relating to acquisition enquiries and proposals that do not result in a transaction is normally retained for 24 months from the last substantive contact about that enquiry or proposal. At the end of that period, it must be deleted or anonymised.

Additional retention requires a specific, documented reason, such as an active negotiation, a legal or regulatory obligation, fraud prevention or investigation, a dispute or complaint, or a concrete need to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

Records must be reviewed at least annually, including before the 24-month period ends when information is no longer needed for a legitimate purpose. Personal data must not remain identifiable longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

This standard period does not automatically apply to completed transactions, contracts, tax records or other records subject to their own legal retention requirements.

Other general correspondence must be kept only as needed to answer and follow up on the enquiry. Privacy-request and complaint records must be limited to what is necessary to handle the matter, demonstrate compliance or address a specific dispute. Technical records must be limited to operational and security needs, taking account of any active incident. These categories do not automatically inherit the 24-month period.

Security

We use access controls, protected transmission and a restricted commercial relay. No internet transmission is completely secure, but we apply proportionate technical and organisational measures and limit access to those who need it.

Your rights

Subject to UK data protection law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If consent is ever used for an optional purpose, it may be withdrawn without affecting earlier processing.

Human review

We do not use enquiry data for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. Qualification and commercial decisions involve human review.

Terms

Terms

Scope of the acquisition

The proposed acquisition concerns the domain name com.store and the ability to manage subdomains under it, subject to the applicable registration rules. It does not include the .store top-level domain, its registry or authority delegated by ICANN.

Materials and third-party rights

Websites, source code, images, content, data, software, trademarks and other materials are included only if expressly identified in the definitive acquisition agreement and the seller has the necessary rights to transfer them. Illustrative services are not an operating business included in the sale.

Renewal and ongoing costs

After completion, the buyer is responsible for domain renewal and any registrar, hosting and operating costs, as allocated in the agreement. The current renewal fee, renewal date and any transfer or service fees must be checked with the registrar and confirmed before signing. The acquisition price is not a lifetime renewal payment.

Verification, payment and transfer

Before any payment or transfer, the parties must verify domain ownership, the authority of their representatives and the applicable registration and transfer requirements, and agree in writing on price, currency, fees, payment, transfer and completion conditions. Independent escrow may be considered by agreement; no provider is appointed by this website. For instalments, the agreement must define who holds and controls the domain during payment and when it transfers. These website terms do not replace the definitive acquisition agreement.

Professional use only

Acquisition is intended for business or professional use, including starting a new business. You may enquire independently or on behalf of an organisation; you do not need an existing company or current activity in this sector.

A purpose declaration records the stated intention; it does not determine legal status or waive rights. Each transaction remains subject to applicable law and any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Invitation to negotiate

The website and enquiry form invite discussions only. They are not a binding offer, acceptance, auction, reservation or obligation to sell. No transaction exists until definitive documents are signed by authorised parties.

Commercial references

Commercial references are not an independent appraisal, investment advice, financing offer or guarantee of traffic, search ranking, AI visibility, revenue or performance.

Intellectual property and permitted use

Site design, copy, graphics and presentation are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view them for internal evaluation. Copying, scraping, republishing, misleading use or unauthorised commercial exploitation is prohibited.

Confidentiality and documents

Submitting an enquiry does not by itself create confidentiality, exclusivity, agency or fiduciary duties. Those obligations arise only under signed documents. Any signed NDA, heads of terms or definitive acquisition agreement prevails over this website.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and liability arising from reliance on this informational site or temporary unavailability. Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms and any non-contractual dispute connected with the website are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any different forum expressly agreed in signed transaction documents.

Technical preferences

Cookies & storage

When you enable remembering below, this browser stores your selected light or dark theme for 180 days from that choice. Remembering is off by default. The record contains only the appearance choice and its expiry date, without a user identifier, and is not sent with your enquiry.

Turning remembering off replaces the saved theme with an off marker and its own 180-day expiry. This marker is used only to respect your choice not to remember; theme changes then apply only to the current page.

Visits do not extend these periods. An expired record is ignored and removed when the site next reads it; this does not turn remembering back on. Saving resumes only after you explicitly enable it again. A new appearance choice while remembering is enabled starts a new 180-day period.

These records are used only for appearance preferences, not for advertising, analytics, profiling or tracking.
